Hello everyone
I just wanted to let you know about the Scrapbooking Retreat being held in Brisbane on 26-28 November. It will be at QCCC Brookfield - a lovely rural suburb about 15 mins from Brisbane City! The cost of the Retreat includes a fabulous class taught by the very talented Angella Peardon including the generous kit, a fantastic scrap pack with lots and lots of goodies, 2 challenges, workshops and demos. The scrap pack will also include the makings of 2 gifts which you can make over the weekend and will be very handy as Xmas gifts if you can bear to part with them. A masseuse has been booked for the weekend and we have the gorgeous Mel from Point, Shoot, Play coming along for those who wish to do an additional class learning how to enhance your photos digitally to make your layouts even more special.
All in all, it will be a full on weekend of scrapping, learning new techniques, lots of laughs and eating some delightful food.....and no dishes!
So check out your calendars and mark them with "RETREAT" then go to www.qldscrapbookingretreats.com.au to book your place. Also by booking before 30 September, you will receive a $10 voucher to spend at the Retreat shop so don't delay any longer.
Great value don't you think? Places are limited so book quickly.
Go on.....you know you want to!! :-)
Do you have a layout featuring 3 photos or more that you would like to submit to this blog?
We will happily publish your layout(s) using 3 photos or more on a page.
Send them to mealin@optusnet.com.au with your name & suburb/state.
Visit & be inspired.....Contribute and be appreciated.....

Challenge update
Hello
Some more layouts have been received for the Challenge. We would love to receive your entry soon - don't forget, there is a nice little prize for the winner.
Anyone can enter the challenge by the way, but the prize can only be sent to an Australian address....sorry....
We should also have some more layouts to post as well shortly - a few keen scrapbookers have indicated their interest to submit the pages - so check back soon for these.
Take care, Ann :-)

First challenge layout received...
Hello
The first of the sketch challenge layouts has been received. Thanks Dale.
I will post the layouts after the cut-off date of 7 October. That way they will all be posted together and it will be easier for everyone to find them and vote accordingly.
Keep sending your layouts in, and of course, you can submit more than one if you wish.
I am really looking forward to receiving them.
Have a great week. Ann :-)

Challenge #1
Hello
Oh my goodness...I certainly set myself a task to find a sketch for this challenge using 3/6x4 photos....but I found some wonderful sketches by Valerie Salmon who has kindly given permission for me to use one of them.
So here is the first challenge sketch:-

Remember you can turn or flip the image any way that you choose and you have until 7 October to submit your layouts. Send them to mealin@optusnet.com.au when done and then we can all vote and decide a winner on 14 October. As well as my prize pack, Melinda from Scrapbooking'n'Craft has very kindly offered a $10 voucher from her online store - she has some great laser cut chipboard.
So come on scrappers; get working on your layouts using Valerie's sketch and remember, the main challenge is to use 3/6x4 photos. I am really looking forward to see how you all interpret the sketch.
One last and very important note....Valerie's TOU for this sketch are as follows:-
© Valerie Salmon. Valerie's sketches are for personal use only. Please do not use them as reference for any publication submissions, contest entries, design team projects, class projects, design templates, or other similar purposes. Permission is required before taking any images from the Got Sketch? blog to post elsewhere. Do not reproduce or distribute. Proper credit for their use in galleries, forums, and & blogs is appreciated.
I look forward to seeing your layouts very soon.....have fun.
TTFN, Ann :-)

Ice-cream Monster
Hello everyone
I am thinking perhaps we might do a Challenge layout. I will post the layout criteria in the next day or so and put it out there for all to contribute using 3/6x4 photos. I will then post the entries and we can all vote and the winner will get a nice little prize. Should be great to see the assortment of layouts!
In the meantime, Melinda has sent in this layout...

Use smaller photos on your pages.....
Using different & smaller sized photos allows you to fit more on to a page and still embellish with some gorgeous materials.....

Angella will be teaching at the November Retreat at Brookfield run by Queensland Scrapbooking Retreats. Click on the link on the side bar to see more information about this and future retreats.

Here we go......
Hello everyone
Thank you to those who have given such positive support for this blog. I hope you will enjoy the layouts that are being posted and that you will find them helpful in completing your pages using 3 photos or more.
Remember the pages will not always use the latest products or techniques; that is not what scrapbooking should be about. We hope to be able to give you lots of ideas to make your pages look great.
The layouts are starting to come in, so we will start posting those images for you. Everyone is welcome to contribute their layouts containing 3 photos or more to this blog. Just email them through to us and provide us with your name and suburb/state that you want noted next to your layouts.
Ok, here we go.......and keep them coming :-)

Let's go Scrappers.....
Hello everyone,
Here is your opportunity to be published!. No strict criteria to adhere to like the Scrap mags; no using the latest products.......just send in your layouts using 3 or more photos and we will post them on the blog for other scrappers to see and find inspiration to create their own multi-photo layouts. Many of us take photos of events so scrapping multiple photos on a page enables us to keep our albums interesting.
Let the inspiration begin......
Submit your layouts to mealin@optusnet.com.au. Who is going to be the first??
