Aren't they great? I just love the colours that she has used in the Cherish layout - very rich and elegant and fitting to the theme. I hope that you have enjoyed these as well.

My interpretation of the Sketch Challenge

I thought I would post the layout that I did for the current Sketch challenge seeing as I won't be entering the challenge as such. We have had so much rain here in Queensland, that I didn't have much else to do so I took the opportunity to scrap a few layouts!

Here is the completed layout:-




Here is a close-up showing the gorgeous Green Tara adhesive ribbon with some beaded wires bound together to imitate "xmas lights".



This close up shows the "snowflakes" I created with 15mm eyelet lace decorated with stickles and surrounded by Kaiser bling.....



This one shows the 3D ornament I created using the Nestabilities ornament die. I cut 5 of them and then folded them in half lengthways, then joined each half together to create the 3D effect. Then put stickles on the edges and attached the bling hanger....


This is the sketch from Becky Fleck from Page Maps that I hope I have adhered to...

Some 8.5 x 11 layouts...

Hi there
Christine has sent in some 8.5 x 11" layouts using smaller sized photos - lots and lots of photos - a perfect way to show off special occasions instead of using just one photo. Christine likes to use 6 x 8 photos that she prints off at home. The "Monthly Favourites" layout uses photos sized at 2 x 3". Good on you Christine - they tell the story perfectly!

Sketch Challenge layout received

Hello everyone

The first layout has been received for the current Sketch Challenge - my goodness that was quick Dale!!

I'm determined to go through my photo stash and put this one together as well - itching to do some scrapping now that Christmas is over and done with for another year.

Melinda from Scrapbookingncraft has kindly donated another $10 voucher from her online store as part of the prize pack - thanks Melinda - you're a treasure.

I'd like to wish you all a very Happy New Year and I hope that 2011 is full of happiness, laughter, joy and heaps of scrapping!!

New Sketch Challenge

Hello everyone
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends and managed not to put on too many extra kilos with all of the yummy food!

I have a new sketch challenge for you. This sketch has been created by the talented Becky Fleck from Page Maps.


Ok, so we will close submissions on 23 January 2011 and then I will put up the layouts for voting for about a week. As usual, we will have a nice little prize pack for the winner.

So put your thinking caps on and start work on your layout - I might even have a go at this one myself!! I would love to see what you all come up with - sketches are a great resource for inspiration when we have that dreaded scrappers block! Just remember to use 3 photos.....

Enjoy the rest of your holiday break if you are lucky enough to be doing so - we have had a very wet Festive season here in Queensland - hopefully we will see some sunshine soon, but it is a great excuse to do some scrapping! :-)
